1. Warranty Coverage

Infanta Inflatables warrants that all new Infanta Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, subject to the terms outlined below.

1.1 Tube (Pontoon) Warranty

• A 3-year limited warranty applies to the inflatable tube structure, seams, and valves.
• Covers defects related to material failure or manufacturing faults.

1.2 Fibreglass Hull Warranty

• A 5-year limited structural warranty applies to the GRP hull, transom, stringers, and bonded structure.
• Covers structural integrity, excluding cosmetic imperfections.

1.3 Accessories and Components

• Deck hardware, consoles, seating, fittings, electrical components, and fuel systems carry a 1-year limited warranty only if fitted at the factory and not by a third party.
• Manufacturer-supplied components (e.g., steering systems, pumps) are covered under their respective supplier warranties.

1.4 Trailer (if supplied by Infanta Inflatables)

Covered under the 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.

2. Conditions of Warranty

To maintain warranty validity, the owner must:

• Register the warranty within 30 days of delivery.
• Maintain correct tube pressure (maximum 0.25 bar, measured after 30 minutes in direct sunlight).
• Follow all maintenance schedules as outlined in the Owner’s Manual.
• Use the boat for its intended purpose (recreational, commercial, rescue, etc.).
• Ensure the vessel is stored properly, away from excessive heat, chemicals, and UV exposure.
• Use only approved cleaning products – no harsh solvents, bleach, or abrasive materials – as outlined in the Cleaning Instructions Manual.

3. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

3.1 Misuse or Incorrect Operation

• Over-inflation or under-inflation.
• Impact, collision, beaching, or grounding.
• Towing damage or incorrect trailering.
• Jumping waves or racing (unless the vessel is a racing-specific model).
• Travel or transport expenses to the factory or nearest dealer.

3.2 Environmental and Chemical Damage

• UV fading
• Weather exposure
• Fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, sunscreen, or chemical damage
• Mildew, mould, or general neglect

3.3 Wear and Tear

• Rubbing, scuffing, abrasion
• Normal cosmetic deterioration
• Surface scratches, gelcoat cracks, or oxidation

3.4 Modifications and Improper Repairs

• Unauthorized alterations, drilling, cutting, or structural changes.
• Repairs performed by persons not approved by Infanta (click here for a list of authorised dealers).
• Use of non-genuine or incompatible parts.

4. Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, the owner must:

1. Provide a copy of the completed Warranty Registration Form (sent by email when the boat was registered).
2. Present proof of purchase.
3. Supply clear photographs of the issue.
4. Allow Infanta Inflatables or an authorised dealer reasonable time for inspection.
5. Transport the boat to the nearest authorised service facility (transport costs are not covered).

Infanta Inflatables reserves the right to repair or replace defective components at its discretion.

5. Limitations of Liability

• This warranty is non-transferable unless approved in writing.
• Infanta Inflatables shall not be liable for loss of income, downtime, or consequential damages.
• The warranty does not cover costs associated with removal, reinstallation, transport, or travel.
• Repairs do not extend or restart the warranty period.

6. Owner Responsibilities

The owner agrees to:

• Inspect the boat regularly for early signs of wear or damage.
• Keep the boat clean and properly inflated.
• Store the vessel in a safe and dry environment.
• Ensure competent operation of the boat by all users.

Failure to comply with these responsibilities may void the warranty.

7. Jurisdiction

This warranty is issued in South Africa and governed by South African consumer protection laws and manufacturing standards.
